What makes the 100 Year Athlete different?

1. Put longevity over performance

As teens and 20-somethings in competitive sports, we trained all out for optimal performance. But if we keep doing this into our 30s, 40s, and beyond, our bodies start to fall apart. Our knees, hips, and back hurt. 100 Year Athlete programs prioritize longevity and balance it with performance.

2. Save your sweat for the mountains

There is a difference between doing our sports and training for them. Training happens off the mountain. It’s the time we spend in the gym or at home building muscle mass, strength, stability, durable joints, and a healthy heart. Training won’t replace your sport or leave you too tired to adventure. We use the minimum effective dose of training

3. Train in Person and Online

We host 100 Year Athlete classes at Minerstown Park City five days a week. And with Off The Mountain's mobile app, you can take your workouts, daily mobility drills, and nutrition plan anywhere. You can also opt for our virtual 100 Year Athlete program, which includes remote coaching. For every exercise in your program, we have an instructional video to guide you through the movement.

4. Adventure with a community

Being a 100 Year Athlete isn’t just about training. It's about training and adventuring together. We connect members who share the same passions and goals. Although we respect the solo mission (and don’t wait for anyone one powder days), we believe that community provides accountability, comradery, and opportunities to learn.

Age-specific programming geared towards maximum fun and longevity

What we work on

  • Muscle Mass. The most important thing for mobility and metabolic health is the amount and the quality of your muscular tissues.
  • Strength. You must be strong enough to ski, board, climb, bike, run, and hike. Strength enables you to trip and catch yourself. To fall and get back up. To bounce, not break.
  • Healthy Joints. Your knees, hips, back, shoulders, and neck need to work well enough for mountain sports. For most athletes, pain stems from unhealthy joints.
  • Stability. Uneven surfaces, hidden obstacles, and surprise conditions are part of every mountain sport. Stability enables you to stay upright, balanced, and in control.
  • Cardiovascular Health. Low End. High End
